Gregg was toiling for months, living in an ancient static caravan (he still is!) while getting the site ready to receive our gorgeous guests. I have been back home in the North West, still running a few businesses to help the finances, flitting to Anglesey whenever I can to help.
We've designed this place with the emphasis on that boutique vibe. We like to make things nice for people, make people feel special and give exceptional customer service.
The vibe may be exclusive, but at the same time, we’ve put the emphasis on helping you make new friends. We have a social area where you may bump into that person who becomes a lifelong friend: after all, holiday friendships always have that extra special connection.
Nobody likes a draughty shower block either, and this is where my love of the deluxe really kicks in. Our showers are warm and welcoming – more like a VIP area than something you’d expect to find in a field on Anglesey.
We’re still putting the finishing touches to Dulas Meadow, there is always a project on the go and we’re really aiming to be one of the best camping sites in North Wales.
The Camping and Caravanning Club gave us lots of advice when we first started out and we were certificated by them initially. Now that we are Certified with Wild Trails Camping, we can be a little more creative in what we can offer on site... Watch this space!
And now we must get back to the digging and clearing and planning and building, with occasional time off to look for otters in the river.
Alison and Gregg.
